Hi! I'm Tamara Baysinger, creator of The Sweaty Equestrian. I'm an endurance rider, NASM-certified personal trainer and nutrition coach, and writer based in the northwest corner of the United States.
I help horsewomen from all over the world get fit to ride stronger in a day and longer in their lives.

Nutrition
You can't out-exercise the effects of a poor diet. We'll implement The Sweaty Equestrian's Food Rules as a foundation, then layer on more nuanced tactics to build muscle and lean out. Our methods are science-backed and realistic.
Workouts
When it comes to gaining muscle and losing fat - especially as we age - all exercise is not created equal. We'll do the exact kinds of workouts you need to rev up your metabolism and build strength to ride for decades to come.

FAQ
What equipment will I need for the workouts?
All workouts in the Leaner Stronger Rider Challenge are designed to be done at home, but you will need some equipment to really tap into the muscle gain and fat loss benefits.
You'll need dumbbells (pairs of 10-pound and 15-pound dumbbells are a great place for most horsewomen to start) and either the ability to run outdoors OR a cardio machine like a stationary bike, elliptical, or treadmill.
Tip: You can usually find great deals on dumbbells and cardio machines on websites like Facebook Marketplace. You probably even have a friend who will let you borrow some!
How long will I have access to the challenge?
The Leaner Stronger Rider challenge runs January 5 through March 30, 2026, and is meant to be moved through as a cohort with your fellow riders. The doors will open with some introductory content on January 1.
The Challenge materials will remain available to you for a couple make-up weeks (through April 13, 2026) after the challenge ends.
Is it true I can earn a completion award?
Yes! All challenge participants will receive a welcome packet -- yes, in the actual mail!.* Those who stick to their commitment and finish the challenge will also receive a completion award.*
Remember, if you complete all three TSE Triple Crown Challenges in a year, you will earn an extra special award!
*Packets and awards can be mailed to participants in the lower 48 United States only. Riders outside the lower 48 receive digital packets and awards.
What is the TSE Triple Crown?
The Sweaty Equestrian Triple Crown is a series of three challenges that take place annually. These include:
The 12-Week Leaner Stronger Rider Challenge in January - March, focused on building muscle and losing bodyfat ahead of the competition year.
The 6-Week Sweaty Summer Time Crunch Challenge in June & July, focused on maintaining maximum fitness in minimum time during the ride season.
The 30-Day Rider Reset Challenge in October, focused on rebooting your fitness habits and metabolism after a summer focused on your horse.
Is it a good deal to become a member?
The Sweaty Equestrian membership is $55 per month, $138 per quarter, or $228 for 6 months.
